Documentary 17 min. Polish / English (subtitles)
In Toronto Polish and Tamil live next door. What connects Tamil fishermen from Jaffna in Sri Lanka and Kashubian fishermen from Polish Pommerania? Fishermen all over the world have very much in common, for they all risk their lives. They face the power of the original elements’ majesty, over which man has no control. The film tells the story of the non-exotic everyday reality of the people of the sea, work and prayer in the exotic surroundings of the Indian Ocean. In the background, never healed wounds of the civil wars get opened.
