Documentary 24 min. Polish / English (subtitles)
Once upon a time colonial island, a multitude of European missionaries, Polish Oblates, and among them the most loved and remembered. Father Andrzej Cierpka OMI died in Sri Lanka, after having worked 50 long years “among his own”. Out of dozens of remaining letters and grateful memory of a number of witnesses, a heartfelt documentary has been born about the one, for whom the poor counted first and foremost. Ceylon and independent Poland were over. But this was not about Polish-Tamil friendship.
